Message-ID: <4934B05F.6030701@a-wa-re.com>

Hi All,

Just a quick and happy note: the $3000 Art Tas grant has finally come
though so that should give each of you $1000 to make the work with i.e.
$400 expenses/materials from LCA and $600 for your fees.

I'll read the fine print and fill you all in soon.

Hello guys and dolls

great to meet you all just breifly on sunday.

Two things:
Last nite
1# I was talking to Pip Duncan - abc journalist who concidentally had a
meeting/interview with David Bartlet Premier of Tasmnaia today - I told
her to tell him about the linux conference in Jan.

He didn't konw about it but apparently was excited and offered to do the
OPENING.

if this is interesting please call me and i can pass on telphone numbers
LEAH :)
call me 0409997189
i am not online so much next few days.

2#
I think I would like to choreograph a **Penguin march ***through the
salamanca markets on saturday 24th FEB - everyone wearing black and white
and somehow with TUX-penguin banners with choose your own slogan on it.

Perhaps a free cd give away of some linux distros outside parliment
house.then on and up to the open day at the city hall.
THIS intervention would need collaboration of you guys and ofcourse the
wider linux conference in general.

Please let me know where to go from this point and what your suggestions are.

scot suggested that we do some bag_giveaways also on the grass for some
info about LINUX and australian community...

Hi Guys/als,

Unfortunately, Leah hasn't been able to contact the venue manager so
this site visit has been postponed. However, I'll try to organise one
for early next week, even if the venue manager isn't around.

Will keep you all informed on developments.

Subject: [Lca2009] Draft Project Outlines
Message-ID: <494E2274.7020105@a-wa-re.com>

Hi Guys/Gals,

Just a quick reminder of today's milestone: to have a fairly smooth run
into the conference and if you haven't already done so, you should now
be able to write a draft outline of your projects. It'd be great if
everyone wrote one (and posted it on the wiki) but if you're confident
of the clarity in your project, it's not entirely necessary - however,
the idea should virtually be in its final form next Sunday (the 28th)
and in another week (the 4th of January), you should have texts and
images ready for publication.

Also for next week, you should have:

   1. The work title
   2. A draft of the installation requirements.

Sorry to be a nag. Look forward to catching up with you all individually
in the next few days!

Subject: [Lca2009] Project Titles,
	Final Outline and Installation Requirements
Message-ID: <4958F226.6070302@a-wa-re.com>

Hi All,

Hope you all had a good Christmas!

This is yet another boring reminder about yesterday's milestone:

   1. Project titles
   2. Final project outlines
   3. Draft installation requirements - if anything is in doubt, please
      forward any queries to me/Leah

As a group, we're running one to two weeks behind at the moment which is
a serious worry considering we are less than three weeks away from
installation. I must stress that we need to catch up as soon as
possible; please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

This Sunday's milestones are:

   1. Final installation requirements ready to be forwarded to Leah
   2. Publication deadline - one image and 100 words, giving delegates
an accessible introduction to the project.

I'll be trying my hardest to meet up with all of you this week. Speak then!

Subject: [Lca2009] Art Tas Grant Monies
Message-ID: <495A1946.6090102@a-wa-re.com>

Hi Guys,

I haven't had much luck finding out when Art Tas will make the grant
payment.

However, if it makes it easier to buy materials, etc., I can pay out
your fees now. Could you invoice me for $600 if you'd like advance payment?

Also, remember to keep receipts for your materials/expenses so that you
can make a claim for the $400 from LCA.
