- Cognitive/Psycho-Phenomenology - combination of phenomenology and the cognitive sciences:
- "Cognitive phenomenology is a particular variant of phenomenology originally articulated by philosophers and further developed to work in conjunction with cognitive science. Based on strict method it is suited to work with a science that takes person-in-situation as its unit of analysis and acknowledges that persons act in their subjective lifeworlds rather than in objectively given material environments. The phenomenological part of cognitive phenomenology constitutes an important instrument in the service of educational psychologists, particularly those interested in a modern theory of aptitude. The method distinguishes itself from introspection and naturalistic description that use "phenomeno" (-logy, -graphy) in their name." (Source)
